What WE do

equity-centered design. Community Built Solutions.

At LRFB Equity Consulting, LLC, we help institutions design for equity—not just intention.

We partner with schools, districts, municipalities, and higher education institutions to co-create racially just, responsive systems rooted in the voices of those most impacted.

With decades of experience spanning educational equity, public sector innovation, and applied research, our team helps institutions move from abstract commitments to meaningful, measurable change. We guide institutions through community co-design, policy development, professional learning, and equity-centered strategy. Our approach integrates deep facilitation expertise with a commitment to systems transformation grounded in real-world impact.

Founded by renowned equity strategist and researcher Liam R. F. Bird, LRFB is a mission-driven consultancy grounded in justice, belonging, and lasting accountability.

    FAQs

    How much do services cost?

Fees vary based on the program selected and its duration. For detailed pricing and packages, please contact me directly for a tailored quote.

    How are services performed?

We offer a blended approach utilizing secure online meetings in Zoom as well as in person and on-site meetings.

Who can benefit from institutionalizing racial equity?

The responsibility to create and sustain anti-racist and culturally responsive organizations is broadly shared. Our freedom is interdependent and, as Dr. King stated, “Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.”

    What is community co-design?

A process exploring who has been burdened by or benefits from the status quo of inequity and the community narratives and numbers situating the targeted universalist equity challenge we are trying to solve for. The process ensures those most impacted are prioritized in identifying equity challenges and advancing multiple solutions.

What is a racial equity framework?

A racial equity framework creates convergence through a vision, theory of change, terminology, guiding practices, growth measures, and a PDSA cycle in order to mitigate racism and all systems of oppression through an intersectional approach.

    What results can I expect?

We will establish measures of growth and impact as we establish a contract for services. Growth measures may be related to building capacity for racial equity leadership, ushering equity reviews through co-design, and institutionalizing racial equity throughout organizational processes.

    Who do you work with?

We support individuals and organizations at various stages in their racial equity journeys in order to create field-tested strategies of learning and accountability tied to frameworks, policies, and competency attainment models.
